Provo river in winter

Winter is already flying by. Gilbert finally came down from the north and we met up on MY favorite stretch of the lower provo. Actually, it was Gilberts idea to hit this particular stretch. Neither of us was disappointed as we caught tons of fish. The pink frenchie dominated as it usually does on this stretch. Me and Gilbert will soon have this fly on our fly tying website(flytying123.com). Click here to check out great fly patterns and fly fishing tips. Also check out flytying123.com page on Facebook for updated fishing reports from our latest trips.

--This picture below was the first fish that I was able to catch on a fly I tied. This was a couple of years ago. If any of you have not started tying your own flies, the time to start is now. It has changed my world of fly fishing and made it much more satisfying. I never ceased to be amazed at how excited I get when I catch fish on flies I have tied. If you don't believe me, Gilbert may be able to get close at the "squeal" I tend to let out when I get excited over catching fish. Again, flytying123 will have some great instructional tying videos to help get you started.
